Sadie
I remember the first time I tried it, it tasted like poison. And somehow the poison burned the fear out of me.
For a moment, I broke free of my past and the scary, unfamiliar world that terrified me every hour of every day. It felt like I could do anything. Even fly.
But then came the fall. And eventually I had to crash.
Sage
I use to care about nothing. But that changed the day I met Sadie.
The day would haunt me forever. I never should’ve let her do it. I should’ve stopped her. Instead, I watched her step toward the ledge and fall.
And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive myself unless I save her.
